The organisation is actively accelerating its digital capabilities to enhance customer experience and retail operations at scale, making technology a core driver of business growthWe are looking for someone with good communication skills, ideally with experience making decisions, being proactive, used to building software from scratch, and with good attention to detail. **What you will do:** - Build and evolve high-quality backend services using Java/Kotlin within a Kubernetes-based microservice ecosystem. - Contribute to frontend delivery in Vue.js, partnering with FE specialists and ensuring smooth end-to-end feature development. - Work within Self-Contained Systems to deliver independently deployable services and full-stack features. - Design and implement integrations using HTTP feeds and Kafka Streams, ensuring reliable, scalable communication between systems. - Participate in architecture discussions, proposing pragmatic solutions aligned with product and platform goals. - Take ownership of quality across the SDLC: writing automated tests, supporting CI/CD, and assisting with production readiness. - Collaborate broadly across disciplines (QA, DevOps, Infra, Product), embodying a T-shaped approach—deep expertise in your core area plus the ability to deliver beyond it when needed. - Support operational excellence: monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of services in AWS/K8s production environments. **What you will bring:** - 8+ years of professional experience or equivalent senior-level III expertise in software development in JVM or modern web environments. - Strong knowledge of Java and/or Kotlin. - Experience working with microservices / distributed systems and HTTP-based APIs. - Exposure to or experience with Kafka (Streams experience is a plus).Experience deploying or running applications in Kubernetes and AWS environments. - Working knowledge of MongoDB and PostgreSQL (or comparable NoSQL/SQL databases).T-shaped mindset: deep in one area (backend/frontend) with ability to collaborate across QA/DevOps/Infrastructure. - Good communication skills and a proactive, detail-oriented approach. **Nice to have:** - Experience with Self-Contained Systems or autonomous team models. - Exposure to server-side includes or similar frontend integration patterns. **What we offer:** - **100% Remote.** - **Work WFH allowance:** Monthly payment as financial support for remote working. - **Career Growth:** We have established a career development program accessible for all employees with a 360º feedback that will help us to guide you in your career progression. - **Training:** For Tech training at Zartis, you have time allocated during the week at your disposal.
