Job Description

Job Title: Software Engineer Experience- 2–5 years **Role Overview** We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on experience in hybrid infrastructure (on-prem + Azure cloud). This role focuses on building, operating, and debugging production-grade platforms using GitHub Actions, Azure-native services, and Kubernetes (AKS). You will play a key role in ensuring reliability, security, and scalability across cloud and on-prem environments. **Key Responsibilities** Hybrid Infrastructure (Must Have) - Own and operate hybrid infrastructure spanning on-premise data centers and Azure cloud - Design and maintain connectivity between on-prem and Azure (VPN, ExpressRoute, routing, DNS) - Ensure workload portability, reliability, and performance across hybrid environments - Manage OS, compute, storage, and networking layers in both on-prem and cloud setups **CI/CD & Automation** - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions - Automate build, deployment, rollback, and infrastructure provisioning - Integrate infrastructure validation, security scans, and deployment gates - Enable Git-based workflows with strong versioning and auditability **Azure Cloud & Platform Engineering** - Manage and operate core Azure services, including: - Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) - Azure Virtual Machines & VM Scale Sets - Azure Virtual Networks (VNETs), NSGs, Load Balancers - Azure Key Vault for secrets and certificates - Azure Storage Accounts - Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights **Kubernetes & Container Platform** - Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot AKS clusters - Manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes - Implement Helm charts, ingress controllers, autoscaling, and upgrades - Debug pod, node, networking, and cluster-level issues **Data & Platform Components** - Operate and support PostgreSQL databases (availability, backups, performance) - Support and manage Databricks environments and workloads - Ensure secure access and networking for data platforms - Collaborate with data and analytics teams for stable operations **Security & Governance** - Implement identity and access management using Azure AD / Entra ID - Manage RBAC, managed identities, secrets, and certificates - Enforce security baselines and compliance controls - Support audits through automation and documentation \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ **AI-Driven DevOps (Added Advantage)** - Use AI tools to accelerate troubleshooting, log analysis, and automation - Apply AI-assisted scripting for IaC, CI/CD, and operational workflows - Explore intelligent alerting, anomaly detection, and predictive insights **Qualification** **Must-Have Skills** - 2–5 years of hands-on DevOps / Infrastructure experience - Mandatory experience in hybrid infrastructure (on-prem + Azure) - Strong hands-on experience with GitHub Actions - Solid understanding of Linux, networking, and system administration - Hands-on experience managing AKS in production **Azure & Cloud** - Strong experience with Azure core services: - AKS, VMs, VNETs, NSGs, Load Balancers - Azure Key Vault, Storage Accounts - Azure Monitor, Log Analytics - Understanding of Azure identity, networking, and security models **Good to Have** - Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, Bicep) - Helm, Prometheus, Grafana - Scripting: Bash, Python, PowerShell - DevSecOps practices and security tooling **Additional Information** - Ownership of mission-critical hybrid infrastructure - Exposure to modern Azure, Kubernetes, and data platforms - Strong learning curve with real production responsibility - Competitive compensation and growth opportunities **Our Benefits** - Flexible working environment - Volunteer time off - LinkedIn Learning - Employee-Assistance-Program (EAP) NIQ may utilize artificial intelligence (AI) tools at various stages of the recruitment process, including rsum screening, candidate assessments, interview scheduling, job matching, communication support, and certain administrative tasks that help streamline workflows.
