Join a precision medicine and molecular science company as a Senior Manager, Cloud Engineering in a strategic leadership role transforming cancer care through cutting-edge technology. You'll lead the strategy, delivery, and operational excellence of cloud infrastructure across AWS, overseeing a Cloud team and ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable cloud platforms that support clinical, analytical, and enterprise workloads. This role combines technical leadership with people management, driving cloud modernization, Kubernetes/EKS strategy, Infrastructure as Code adoption, observability improvements, and operational automation while partnering with DevOps, Security, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, and Networking teams. With an annual salary range of $180,000 to $210,000 plus comprehensive benefits, this position offers the opportunity to lead healthcare technology innovation that directly impacts patient outcomes.

As Senior Manager, you'll have the autonomy to develop and execute cloud strategy while leading a team of talented engineers supporting mission-critical clinical and analytical workloads. The role offers significant variety, from architecting AWS cloud platforms and leading large-scale modernization initiatives to mentoring engineers and partnering with executive leadership on strategic direction. You'll work in a highly regulated environment supporting SOX and HIPAA compliance, gaining valuable experience with healthcare technology and precision medicine platforms. The position combines hands-on technical leadership with people management, allowing you to both guide architectural decisions and develop engineering talent. **Required Skills & Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure, or SRE roles
- 6+ years of experience in technical leadership or people management role
- Deep expertise with AWS platform services including EKS, EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS/Aurora, Lambda, S3, Security Hub, and CloudWatch
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes cluster architecture, container orchestration, and cloud-native security practices
- Extensive hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK
- Proven ability to lead CI/CD modernization and DevOps best practices
- Experience managing cloud networking and security alignment in partnership with InfoSec (matrix model)
- Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements such as SOX and HIPAA
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills with ability to drive consensus and influence cross-functional teams
- Experience with observability, monitoring, and incident response
- Ability to provide people leadership including hiring, performance management, and resource planning
- Availability for after-hours emergency response and on-call as required

- AWS Professional Certifications (Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional)
- Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS)
- Experience with cost-optimization strategies and FinOps practices
- Experience with observability platforms such as DataDog, Prometheus, or Grafana
- Experience supporting large-scale distributed systems across clinical, analytics, or regulated industries
- Healthcare IT or life sciences industry experience
- Experience with precision medicine or molecular diagnostics platforms
- Background in AI/ML infrastructure and data science platforms
- Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning in healthcare
- Knowledge of GxP or FDA regulated environments
