**Required Technical Skill Set**
- Deep hands‑on in Confluent/Apache Kafka, Azure Integration Services, Azure API Management (APIM), WSO2, GoAnywhere MFT, and Microsoft BizTalk; design & build of event streams, APIs, and batch/file integrations aligned to enterprise framework
- Strong engineering with Java/Spring Boot microservices; CI/CD using Bitbucket/Azure DevOps, container orchestration (Kubernetes), secure secrets/RBAC, and pipeline governance
- Observability & reliability for integrations: monitoring, logging, alerting, consumer lag analysis, topic access governance; automated recovery patterns for Kafka failures;
- Integration data design: data mapping, transformation, idempotency, error handling, DLQ strategies; API lifecycle, versioning, contract‑first design, and secure by design practices under architecture governance
**Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)**
Must-Have
- Own integration design and governance across Kafka/APIM/WSO2/GoAnywhere/ BizTalk, ensuring secure, scalable, and high‑performance flows
- Proven delivery leadership in complex, multi‑platform environments, prioritizing stabilization where repetitive work units exist; reduce MTTR via observability and process fixes
- Stakeholder management: engage business/product owners, application owners, and vendor SMEs.
- Orchestrate design‑first engagement and change enablement across squads
- Lead complex enterprise integrations across hybrid estates; demonstrated onshore stakeholder management and offshore delivery coordination
Good-to-Have
- Tooling breadth to influence platform engineering & DevOps: Snyk, Bitbucket Pipelines, Backstage etc.
- Familiarity with metrics and standard delivery expectations
**Role descriptions / Expectations from the Role**
- Lead integration architecture & delivery: design and develop integrations using Kafka, Azure Integration Services, Azure APIM, WSO2, GoAnywhere, BizTalk.
- Coordinate with business stakeholders & product/application leads to translate requirements into integration specifications, data contracts and operational playbooks
- Stabilize the landscape: prioritize repetitive failure classes; automate recovery and strengthen observability, monitoring, and alerting to improve MTTR
- Define data mapping & transformation, error handling frameworks; ensure API security (OAuth/JWT), versioning, documentation across gateways and services
- Run service management for integrations: incident/request triage, RCA, CAB change adherence, periodic tasks for controlled environments, and vendor L3/L4 engagement; keep SOPs/KEDB up‑to‑date
- Engage in governance cadence with SLA/KPI reporting, risks/PIRs, and continuous improvement dashboards
