**Project Overview** You will join a large-scale engineering initiative focused on building platforms that collect, validate, and process highly technical data. The team supports two core web applications: - A platform for external users to submit structured data - A platform for internal technical users to review, validate, visualize, and manage workflows This phase involves building robust backend services, modern APIs, and integrations with relational databases to enable high-impact decision-making across the system. **Role Summary** We are looking for a **highly independent Senior Java Developer** with strong backend experience and the ability to solve complex problems with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate demonstrates technical excellence, strong communication skills, and a proactive mindset to collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, QA automation, architecture). **Key Responsibilities** - Design and implement backend services and REST APIs using **Java Spring Boot** - Work with relational databases, especially **SQL Server** , including complex queries and performance tuning - Utilize modern **Java (Java 21 preferred)** to build efficient and maintainable backend components - Integrate backend services with frontend systems built in Next.js and TypeScript - Demonstrate high autonomy by unblocking issues independently and escalating only when necessary - Participate in code reviews and contribute to architecture and design discussions - Apply best practices in clean coding, scalability, and performance - Understand cloud-native principles and deployment workflows (Kubernetes is a plus) **Required Technical Skills** - **8+ years** of backend development experience - Expertise in **Java** and **Spring Boot** - Strong proficiency in **SQL** - Experience building and consuming REST APIs - Solid understanding of software design patterns and microservices **Nice to Have** - Experience with **Kubernetes** or containerized deployments - Knowledge of cloud environments - Familiarity with frontend architectures (Next.js / TypeScript) - Experience working on data-intensive or highly regulated systems
