Job Description
Do you have a strong interest in low level firmware and operating systems? A desire to work on complex software features, driving a high standard of quality into Apple's products? The Core OS Platform Enablement & Quality organization is looking for a talented and passionate software engineer to join the Platform Productization team. As a critical member of the team, you will be focusing on software technologies in low-level firmware and Apple silicon domains. Your responsibilities will span across all phases of software delivery of Apple's products, from early design to product launch and beyond. You'll become intimately familiar with one or more major technologies, taking on responsibilities of test, framework and tool development, along with influencing design decisions.
**Description**
We are seeking a skilled and innovative engineer to design and enhance automation tools that streamline the productization of hardware specifications into software builds. In this role, you will build and manage systems that ensure seamless integration, enabling faster and more reliable delivery of production-ready software. By leveraging your expertise in automation and process optimization, you will play a key role in transforming complex workflows into efficient, scalable, and repeatable systems, driving the successful delivery of high-quality products.
**Preferred Qualifications**
Demonstrate strong critical thinking, debugging and troubleshooting skills
Django, Dagster, Kubernetes, Postgres experience
Experience with CI systems
**Minimum Qualifications**
Thorough knowledge of computer architecture and Unix based operating systems concepts
Experience with C programming including ability to conduct effective code reviews
Proficient in Python
Strong knowledge of SCM (Git)
Excellent collaborative and communication skills
