• Strong system administration skills to manage your servers and other infrastructure components. Knowledge of Linux/Unix commands, networking, security principles, and performance tuning is required.
• Strong understanding of containerization concepts and familiarity with technologies like Docker. Proficiency in docker including container creation, image management, Dockerfile creation and docker networking.
• In-depth knowledge of kubernetes architecture, including master and worker nodes, pods, deployments, services and ingress. Knowledge of creating k8s manifests, deploying and scaling applications, managing secrets and configurations.
• A strong understanding of Jenkins and its core components. Familiarity with Jenkins architecture, installation, and configuration to effectively administer and maintain the Jenkins infrastructure.
• Proficiency in continuous integration and continuous deployment concepts. Understanding how CI/CD pipelines work, including build automation, version control, testing, and deployment processes.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk and Datadog, including setting up dashboards, alerts, and analyzing logs for troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in provisioning and managing cloud resources, configuring basic security measures, monitoring resource usage, and understanding fundamental AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM and VPC
• A good understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching and an ability to troubleshoot common network connectivity issues.
• The ability to write scripts to automate routine tasks.
