Job Description

**Position: Application Support Executive (L2/L3 – Production Support)** **Location: Morristown, New Jersey (100% Onsite)** **Pay Range: —$45-47/hr** **Job Description** **Production Incident & Technical Support** - Provide L2/L3 production support for payment applications including payment gateways, POS systems, and card processing platforms. - Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve transaction failures, connectivity issues, and third-party integrations while meeting SLA requirements. **Payment Card Lifecycle Support** - Support end-to-end card transaction processing including authorization, clearing, settlement, and reconciliation. - Analyze ISO 8583 messages, EMV transaction flows, and payment switch processing for issue resolution. **Disputes, Chargeback & Fraud Management** - Investigate disputes, manage chargeback processes, and ensure compliance with Visa, Mastercard, and other card network regulations. - Monitor transactions using fraud detection tools and support fraud prevention mechanisms such as tokenization, 3D Secure, and risk scoring. **System Maintenance & Reliability** - Perform application updates, patches, and configuration changes to ensure stability, performance, and PCI DSS compliance. **Root Cause Analysis & Monitoring** - Analyze application logs and perform root cause analysis for recurring incidents. - Use monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or similar platforms to track system health and transaction success rates. **Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication** - Work with Development, QA, Infrastructure, and Fraud teams to deploy fixes and system enhancements. - Communicate with internal teams, merchants, and banking partners regarding incidents, disputes, and fraud cases. **Documentation, Reporting & Process Improvement** - Maintain documentation for incidents, resolutions, and system configurations. - Generate operational and compliance reports; identify opportunities to reduce chargebacks and automate support processes. **Compliance & Security** - Ensure adherence to PCI DSS, EMV, PSD2, GDPR, and related payment security standards. - Implement best practices to safeguard cardholder and transaction data. **Required Skills / Qualifications** - 6–8+ years of application support experience with 5+ years in payment systems. - Strong experience in credit/debit card processing, disputes, and fraud operations. - Proficiency in Java, .NET, or Python–based application support. - Strong SQL / Oracle skills for transaction and dispute analysis. - Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, middleware (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and payment integrations. - In-depth knowledge of ISO 8583, EMV, and card network workflows. - Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira) and monitoring platforms. - Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). - Scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell) and strong analytical & communication abilities.
