**Introduction** The AMQ team delivers a high-performance messaging implementation based on Apache ActiveMQ Artemis and ArkMQ, focused on delivering AMQ on both Bare Metal and as a cloud-native messaging solution. In this role, you’ll provide both technical leadership and strategic direction, ensuring your team delivers innovative, production-grade Messaging features that help global enterprises build successful on Prem and Cloud based solutions. You’ll act as a bridge between software engineering and product management—driving execution while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture. **Your Role And Responsibilities** - Lead, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary team of software developers. - Define technical direction, set priorities, and drive successful execution of Messaging projects within the AMQ product suite - Collaborate with product and engineering teams to shape intelligent, customer-focused solutions - Oversee the full development lifecycle, from research and prototyping to scalable deployment and monitoring - Manage hiring, onboarding, education for new hires. - Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement - Communicate strategy, progress, and impact to stakeholders across the organization Requirements **Preferred Education** Bachelor's Degree **Required Technical And Professional Expertise** - Demonstrated experience in software engineering with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or management role - Proven experience delivering features in a production environment - Strong technical foundation in software engineering - Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, or Go, and hands-on experience with cloud platforms and Kubernetes - Experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating across engineering and product functions - Excellent communication and organizational skills **Preferred Technical And Professional Experience** - Familiarity with Cloud based deployments using Kubernetes. - Exposure to Messaging technologies in enterprise applications
