**Role Overview**
Join a high-performing telecom engineering team as a DevOps Engineer, where you will drive CI/CD automation, infrastructure modernization, and operational excellence across BSS/OSS systems. You will work on large-scale telecom platforms including billing, CRM, provisioning, and network management while enabling faster releases, high availability, and resilient operations. This role offers deep exposure to Kubernetes, cloud environments, automation frameworks, monitoring tools, and multi-vendor telecom ecosystems in an Agile and DevOps-driven environment.
**Key Job Responsibilities:**
- Monitor application health (WildFly services, legacy daemons, job schedulers); triage incidents, perform Root Cause Analysis, apply workarounds/hotfixes, and update KEDB and runbooks.
- Support order-to-activate steps: resource assignment, capacity checks, reservation, activation triggers, and post-activation verification
- Validate inventory updates from planning/RLC (resource/circuit/device/site changes) and reconcile mismatches that affect service delivery.
- Implement fixes in Java (backend services, adapters), C (legacy utilities/daemons), and GWT (UI behaviours) following coding and testing standards.
- Operate WildFly app servers (datasources, JVM tuning, thread/connection pools), manage configuration, logs, and rolling restarts.
- Maintain topology integrity and referential links (service–resource–device–location).
- Support and monitor REST/SOAP interfaces to OSS/BSS (Order Management, Assurance/NMS, ITSM/CRM); ensure idempotency, retries/backoff, and error handling.
**Experience & Skills Requirements:**
**Must have:**
- Telecom OSS Fulfilment & Inventory domain knowledge: O2A process touchpoints, resource/service modeling, capacity/reservation, activation, and fall‑out handling.
- Hands‑on with WildFly (JBoss) administration and Java EE application support.
- Java (services/adapters), C (utilities/daemons), GWT (legacy UI) for minor fixes and triage.
- SQL proficiency (query tuning, troubleshooting data inconsistencies) on the platform’s database(s).
- Integration patterns (REST/SOAP), error handling, retries/backoff, and idempotency.
- ITIL L2 support: incident lifecycle, RCA authoring, problem records, change/CAB governance.
- Linux/Unix operations, shell scripting, log analysis, and performance profiling.
**Good to have:**
- Familiarity with TM Forum frameworks (SID, eTOM, ODA) and service catalogue concepts.
- Exposure to Assurance/NMS (for closed‑loop validations post‑activation).
- Observability stack (Elastic/Kibana/Grafana/Prometheus) for building basic dashboards.
- CI/CD awareness (Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps) for configuration‑as‑code and repeatable deployments.
- Experience onboarding replacement/migration components to reduce legacy risk.
**Success Metrics & Unique Selling Proposition (USP) of The Role:**
- Faster and more reliable software delivery through automated CI/CD and containerized deployments.
- Improved system stability, uptime, and SLA performance in large-scale telecom environments.
- Strong impact on cost reduction and operational efficiency through automation and infrastructure-as-code.
- Ability to lead modernization of BSS/OSS platforms using Kubernetes, cloud, and advanced monitoring tools.
- Act as a key driver connecting development, operations, and architecture teams for DevOps excellence.
**What we offer / What’s in it for you:**
- Opportunity to work on large-scale telecom platforms with modern DevOps and automation technologies.
- Exposure to cloud, Kubernetes, monitoring ecosystems, and next-gen BSS/OSS modernization initiatives.
- Collaborative environment with cross-functional and global engineering teams.
- Continuous learning and career growth supported by certifications and complex project exposure.
- Ownership of strategic DevOps initiatives with direct impact on operational performance and delivery speed.
