**Utility Data Platform Engineer:** For one of our globally leading tech clients we are urgently looking for an experienced Utility Data Platform Engineer for a long contract based in Edinburgh, UK Its paying well and my client can interview asap! **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and implement GridOS Data Fabric solutions to streamline utility data access and management - Develop data integration pipelines across OT, IT, and external data sources (e.g., weather, traffic) - Configure and manage metadata catalogs for data governance, security, and compliance - Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to improve data discovery, quality, and usage - Support real-time and batch data processing using big data and cloud technologies - Optimize data workflows for AI, ML, and advanced analytics applications - Provide technical support and troubleshooting for GridOS Data Fabric deployments - Stay current with grid modernization, data management, and energy analytics trends **Competencies:** - Data Fabric Architecture - Utility Grid Operations & Grid Modeling - Real-time Data Streaming & IoT Integration - Data Governance & Metadata Management - Cloud & Big Data Platforms **Essential Skills:** 1. Experience with GridOS or similar grid data management platforms 2. Knowledge of utility operations, distributed energy resources, and grid modeling 3. Strong SQL and ETL experience 4. Big data technologies: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka 5. Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud 6. DevOps experience with Kubernetes 7. CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins 8. Containerization with Docker 9.
