Job Description
Daily duties typically involve a mix of operational support (L2/L3) and strategic project work
Platform ManagementInstall, configure, upgrade, and maintain OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) clusters in on-premises, hybrid, or multi-cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Automation & CI/CDAutomate routine tasks and application deployment using CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Tekton, and Ansible.
Monitoring & TroubleshootingMonitor cluster performance and health using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) stack, proactively identifying and resolving complex issues.
Security & ComplianceImplement security best practices, manage Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and ensure compliance with internal and external standards for containerized workloads.
CollaborationWork closely with development and operations teams to containerize applications, onboard new services, and provide technical support and guidance on best practices.
DocumentationCreate and maintain detailed documentation (SOPs, architecture diagrams, runbooks) for OpenShift environments and processes to ensure continuity and compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Successful OpenShift Engineers typically possess a combination of strong technical and soft skills.

- Required technical and professional expertise Expertise in Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker for container orchestration and management. Strong Linux system administration skills (RHEL, CentOS).
Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python) and automation/IaC tools (Ansible, Terraform).
Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, or similar tools for building and managing deployment pipelines.
Familiarity with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud integration.
Experience with observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stack, or Splunk.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in Agile, cross-functional teams.
Relevant certifications, such as the Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), are highly beneficial.
