With nine DevOps teams we are serving business and consumers with reliable databases, services and apps for all logistics processes ranging from replenishment to order picking, forecasting, warehouse management and delivery. The team you will join is team Replenishment. In this DevOps team you will work on stock replenishment for our home shop centers (HSC) and functionality to calculate and predict stock levels for customer orders. The team is transitioning from an Oracle PL/SQL team to working with Kotlin, that is why we are looking for someone who can create new Kotlin services hands-on and teach others how to do it as well. Working together with (and under guidance of) our Kotlin staff engineer and having a vision for future developments is important. More specifically, as Kotlin backend developer you will: • Be a valued team member and a valuable team player, celebrating successes together. • Join an Agile scrum team that works in increments of two weeks; participating in all ceremonies of standups, refinement, planning, retrospective… • Work with the team on reliable solutions and take responsibility for the team’s code in our DevOps way of working (including availability for 24/7 standby shifts). • Analyze/design application and data architecture solutions, build code, enforce code quality, develop best practices and manage deployments. Develop applications that run our business critical and strategical processes of delivery. **Must Have Skills/Knowledge:** Bachelor's degree in computer science At least 7 year+ work experience as a software engineer • Multiple years of Kotlin experience (2 years minimum, 4 years or more preferred) • Experience with Java, Kotlin (must have), Oracle PL/SQL(preferred), CI/CD • Experience with Kubernetes • Experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate • Strong understanding of CI/CD practices in an Azure Cloud environment. · A getting-things-done mentality • An insatiable appetite for new knowledge It goes without saying that so-called ‘soft skills’ are just as important as their ‘hard’ cousins.
