**Introduction** We are seeking a skilled **Cloud DevOps Engineer** with 2–5 years of professional experience to join our growing infrastructure and platform engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud environments, automation, and CI/CD pipeline implementation, with a proactive mindset toward system reliability, scalability, and performance optimization. IBM Cloud platform combines platform as a service (PaaS) with infrastructure as a service (IaaS) to provide an integrated experience. Join our mission to create and maintain core services and tools of Platform Experiences. **Your Role And Responsibilities** - New Feature Development: Independently manage and deliver projects to successful completion, taking full ownership of outcomes and deadlines. - Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality code, adherence to coding standards. - Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Closely work together with product management, design, application teams and other stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation and the best solution. - Maintaining existing services - Documentation: Maintain and update technical documentation. - Knowledge Sharing: Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues through mentoring and workshops. **Required Technical And Professional Expertise** - Independently manage and deliver projects to successful completion, taking full ownership of outcomes and deadlines. - Minimum 2 years of experience with Cloud technologies (IBM, AWS, Azure, or GCP). - Hands on knowledge at least one programming languages such as JavaScript, Python or Go for automation tasks. - Experience with Linux system administration and shell scripting. - Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps). - Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift). - Basic understanding of virtual networking. - Experience working in Agile environment using Scrum or Kanban methodologies. - Curiosity, ability & willingness to learn fast and pick up new things easily. **Preferred Technical And Professional Experience** - Experience working with microservice architectures and distributed systems. - Previous experience in high-availability production environments or large-scale distributed applications. - Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and compliance standards (e.g., ISO, SOC, GDPR). - Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. - Exposure to service mesh and other security configurations ( TLS, firewall, etc ) within cloud infrastructures. - Knowledge of monitoring and logging frameworks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Cloud-native equivalents). - Previous experience in an application development role - Experience with AI assisted development, proactive mindset towards integrating into daily workflows
